Very good espresso ( italian taste)
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have already used this Lavazza beans but the first time it was not 100% perfect while the last time it was and I was able, drinking my espresso made with a Jura machine, to feel to be back in a bar in Milano !!! molto buono !!

Really horrible
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This is really horrible coffee. It is especially bad in an espresso machine. The taste is completely different than the Lavazza beans that come in a blue bag. There is a reason this brown bag is cheaper.

Lavazza Crema e Aroma Coffee
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I really enjoy this expresso coffee, it is always smooth, never bitter

or over roasted to taste burned. It makes a wonderful cappucino, with

a frothy head, it has a nice frothy head in just a plain cup of espresso.

I highly recommend it and have ordered it a few times. It is also a great

price.

The beans are great. MY husband is from Italy and this is the product he chooses to drink each morning.

great value
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I tried Crema e Aroma and compared it with the more expensive Lavazza Super Crema. I liked the Crema e Aroma better, because of its more pronounced and pleasant flavor. The Super Crema tasted generic to me. In addition to one’s own subjective taste preferences, the final outcome depends on one’s espresso machine, grinder, and coffee amount per shot. My machine is a DeLonghi Magnifica with a built-in grinder, set to max. coffee and almost minimum water per shot. I am sure that there a better coffees out there but Crema e Aroma is a compelling value.

Quite Disappointed!

I thought this would be better, much better.I have a Gaggia espresso machine, and this makes the worst espresso. Lavazza in the blue bag is much better.

Ok For Price – Not Very Strong

I purchased thhis on the Gold Box Deal for only $7.50 so it was a great price. I was a little disappointed with the streanth. I like strong dark coffee and this was not. But it was good.

HORRIBLE Espresso!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I had high hopes for this only to be VERY let down. I’ve had the Lavazza “Super Crema” (blue bag) and it was pretty good. This “Crema e Aroma” is some of the worst espresso beans I’ve tasted. The cream is decent but the flavor is thin and sour. I’ve tried different grinds, water temps, tamps, etc… nothing helps. I have been making espresso at home for 10 years using high-end consumer equipment so I know how to make good espresso… these beans are very lightly roasted, versus most beans I’ve used, and very dry out of the bag. Maybe the trip from Italy kills the beans? Either way, if you like good espresso… better than Starbucks quality, stay away from Lavazza Crema e Aroma.

Best combined with a darker bean for espresso drinks…
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My opinion people…

As someone who has tried many, many coffees trying to get the perfect blend, I have found that the Lavazza Crema e Aroma is the best base from which to start on a custom blend. It is a delicious straight espresso, but I feel it is a little raw, thin, and light for espresso based drinks like lattes and cappucinos. For that, the best combo is two parts Crema e Aroma and one part Java Joe’s Espresso Adoration. For the most delicious tase and best crema, this is the route to go. If you like a more heavy, almost chocolatey flavor, try it 50/50. For those wanting to cut back on the caffiene, try the Crema a Aroma mixed 2 to 1 with the Starbucks decaf espresso roast. It adds just the right touch of over-roasted bean to give more depth to your espresso-based drinks. For my ultimate mix, I actually combine the Crema e Aroma, Java Joe’s, and two other coffees. No, I cant tell you all the secrets, my friends may read this! You’ll just have to come by for a cup.

The Best Coffee
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We too have made our own coffee from beans for over ten years, and after using Gevalia Columbian for at least five years, have converted over to LavAzza crema e aroma with half and half creamer because it is so smooth. We boil water in an electric pot, then pour it over the ground beans sitting in a cup in a filter. The temp of the water is never more than just boiling, and often slightly below boiling. We carafe up the pot right away and drink it the whole day.

It is wonderful coffee on the deck in the morning.

This Was OK
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
But maybe a little disappointing. Frankly I got better crema and aroma from “Super Crema” and “Pienaroma” beans, to which I’ll probably go back. The flavor is pretty mild.

I’m using the beans in a Rancilio Rocky grinder and Silvia espresso machine.

A bit weak
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The coffee beans were not as dark roasted as expected, resulting in a rather weak cup of coffee.

Our Daily Grind
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My family thrives on its Lavazza intake. The Crema e Aroma beans are prepared in our Jura-Capresso S-9, which stays on most of the day. The flavor is smoother and more full than Illy, which we used before discovering these beans as a result of an Amazon review. The crema is thick, rich and holds up well to the high pressure of the Capresso. While some reviews prefer to use another Lavazza for latte or other milk based drinks, we find that a fine grind and the strong setting on the Capresso result in delicious lattes.

We now take advantage of the subscription shipping to insure we never run out. If we get a little ahead in our supply, our daughter is thrilled to take an extra bag off our hands.

I would give this product an unqualified 5-star rating except for one flaw we have only noticed recently. In each bag there appears to be up to a half a dozen green coffee beans. When accidentally ground with the beans even one of these contaminating little nasty things will ruin an entire pot of coffee or destroy a cup of cappuccino with their awful taste. As a result, I now sort through the beans before putting them in airtight storage for daily use.

Aside from that one flaw, this is a fantastic product at a reasonable price, especially if you take the discounted subscription shipping.

I have been consistently disappointed in the various Lavazza blends that I have tried. My last hotel/travel interface with poor quality ground Lavazza pods has resulted in a new addition to my cosmetic bag– a little Ziplock full of Senseo brand pods, which are decent if not superlative, fairly common in stores, and will accomodate many coffee coffee makers. I thought the last Lavazza incident was just a bad batch, but it’s statistically unlikely that it should keep happening every time. If you have had better luck with specific blends, bless you, but I think it’s not my crappy Karma, but their crummy coffee. Just my two cents; your mileage may vary. I use coffee to pry open the eyelids and I need to hit the ground running, so the first cup has to be acceptable. Life is to short to drink dishwatery coffee.Senseo Douwe Egberts Coffee Pods, Variety Pack, 16-Count Packages (Pack of 4)

Not a paid endorsement. Really good stuff. Pricey when not on sale. Delicious crema.

Wow. I truly didn’t expect this, it’s great!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My experiences had been drip coffee – a lot of it, over the years. I recently bought an espresso machine, and started experimenting with different coffees.

Some stuff I didn’t like all that much – Illy dark and medium roast was kind of flat for me, sort of bland. Peet’s Italian stuff was chocolately, but muddy/muddled in flavors.

This, though, Crema e Aroma, absolutely lives up to it’s name. Lots of flavor starting with the aroma when you open the bag and grind: mouth-filling, round, with that coffee taste I adore. It’s got a fair amount of persistence, that taste, which may not be great for some folks, but I really like it.

I get nice crema from this, pressure PF or plain PF (it’s a small retail DeLonghi BAR-32, but I have a non-pressure filter for it). The shot starts dark, blonding only a little, and the crema is a beautiful camel tan/brown that fills the room with the smell of great coffee.

It’s got some caffeine, for sure, I get a pretty strong buzz after a double.

I love this coffee!

great coffee
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this to try in my espresso machine at my restaurant. While the espresso i was using did fine for the milky cappucino and latte drinks, this coffee was noticably superior in my fav drink, a shot of espresso, and a 1/2 $ 1/2 creamer. So if you do shots, or are not happy with your current brand, i’d recommend giving this one a shot.. Wait til they rn a special though (which seems to be often) for a nice savings.

Versatile bean!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Lavazza roasts won’t disappoint. This bean is very flavorful and brews well coarsely-ground for a French press, medium-ground for a drip and finely-ground for espresso. It just works everywhere… very smooth.

Pretty Good Cuppa Joe
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
These are good – but not great – coffee beans. I like a bit of a “bite” from my coffee, and prefer a really good French Roast – of which many are not “really good.” Starbucks French Roast is one of the most consistent, but even their outrageously high-priced blend has disappointed me of late. The Lavazza is a more mellow blend, which I find drinkable but without that morning “slap in the face” you get from a heartier roast. Does that make sense?

Nasty robusta beans make for a sour cup. I bought this on deep discount for my emergency pantry, but I think I’d sooner give up coffee altogether.

Maxwell House ground coffee from the supermarket is beter coffee. Searched underorganic coffee and got Lavazza. Amazon should give me about $13.00 back as a credit!….. Dave
